THE HEALY PICTORIAL COMPLETION TEST I

It is arguable whether this is really a puzzle as it does not have a "correct" solution; however it certainly appears to be related to jigsaw puzzles. It was devised by William Healy of Chicago. Published by C.H.Stoelting and extensively used from the1920s onwards (A web search will reveal much more information). Amongst other things it was used to test "delinquents" or "defective aberrational individuals". The child being tested chose which of the small pictures to put into the square holes. They then had to explain the related story.

We have found that most visiting puzzlers are clearly "aberrational" as they seem to delight in deliberately assembling the most improbable sequence of events.
