This was our 2012 Winter Solstice Greeting Card to friends of the Puzzle Museum: -

                        and A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and  
                                    will have A PROSPEROUS and BUG FREE 2013.
                                                                                            

Last year we offered a prize of a Box of Chocolates (see Xmas 2011).

This year we repeated the offer on the second watercolour rebus which again created much discussion.

They are very attractive and very difficult. They came from a book-dealer who requested the solutions from us about 6 years ago and who is still waiting patiently for us to tell him the answer.

A Box of Chocolates for the best solution we received before 31st March 2013 was won by John Flower. Before you look at his attempted solution please have a go yourself.

Print it out out and recruit your friends to help. We will give another box of chocolates for a definitive solution.
We think the smudge by the first bed is accidental.
