Jugo Flower PuzzleGame Jugo translates as Game 15 after the number of petals. It was manufactured by Kuroba (Clover) 1983 in Japan. Due to its fragility only a small number were produced before production was stopped. It has been highly sought after by collectors ever since. |

GROUP THEORY. This is another puzzle requiring Group theory in its solution. The central cylinder can be rotated which repositions the little white arrows opposite 4 of the 15 petals. These 4 petals, and only these 4, can then be turned over. After some random twiddling, restoration becomes a serious puzzle.
There were 2 finishes: The one illustrated here is "Cocktail", and "Papillion" is shown at the bottom of this page. |
