Pike's Peak or Bust
Made by Parker Brothers USA in 1895 this is an excellent step maze. Unlike ordinary mazes, the steps make it particularly difficult to spot the correct path.
The little brass wire "Climber" starts at the "Base" in the centre of the bottom, then must be moved from nail to nail until he reaches the summit of Pike's Peak. He must fit the distance of each step exactly.
The Puzzle Museum has examples of two different versions of this puzzle. One is called "Model 3" so we assume we must be missing at least "Model 2". We would be delighted to hear of anyone who has an example of this.
