A Venetian Glass Puzzle Bowl. c1650

This works in a similar manner to the standard pottery puzzle jugs. Block some holes in the rim and suck through one of the dark blue beads on the rim - just like having a built in straw but needing some holes blocking.

As a puzzle it may seem trivial to us; however it is very rare and in the mid-seventeenth Century it is very unlikely that anyone would have seen anything like it.
