24 Piece Ivory Burr

A beautifully made 24-piece interlocking burr puzzle. (English, late 19th Century).

All the pieces have been cut and grooved to interlock and then they have been ornamented by drilling and engine turning patterns into all the sides.

Even the internal sides are ornamented so that the decoration does not reveal any extra clue to solving.
