Pocketeers

In the 1970s and 1980s, Tomy marketed a series of puzzles and games under the name Pocketeers in the UK, Pocket Games in the USA, and Pocketmates in Japan.

Popular amongst collectors, as there were about 120 designs. The collecting fun is extended by the different decorations on the same products and similar names for different Pocketeers.

Mostly dexterity puzzles, the range also included a few others including routefinding and sequential puzzles. Some have complex mechanised obstacles. There are also a few non-puzzle games in the range.

These were the last interesting plastic puzzles before electronics took over the hand-held games niche.
