We worked hard and unsuccessfully trying to solve some of these pictures until we found this example which still had its caption. They were not intended as puzzles but were the folding frontispieces removed from Astrological Almanac of the early to mid 19th Century.
They are still a puzzle to work out what is being predicted and if it actually happened.
